|Very heavily swatched!|
I was in Boots and went in there for one item only however as I walked past the Bourjois section expecting to see the usual rows of blushes and Healthy Mix foundation, my eye caught this new product. I was so transfixed I literally picked it up within seconds of seeing it. The Bronzing BB Cream is most certainly going to be my go-to makeup item this Summer.
Now I am completely obsessed with getting that bronzed look- I am extremely pale despite having a Mediterranean background so I am always subconsciously on the lookout for new, exciting tanning products. I am the first person to pick up anything that promises to give you a sunkissed look ranging from my trusty Guerlain's Terracotta Skin foundation to Chanel Soleil De Tan Bronzing Base. I have never actually tried a facial bronzing product bar bronzing powder from a drugstore brand so this new product instantly intrigued me.
I was really drawn to the fact it is a BB Cream meaning it would be lovely and light on the skin and as well as this, on the front it comes with a range of things the cream is meant to do i.e. even skin tone, boost radiance and moisturise the skin. All the properties sound fabulous and I definitely agree with them.
I like medium to high coverage face makeup therefore I wouldn't wear this on its own- personally. I wear a thin layer of this over my usual YSL foundation with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and have found this gives me the exact natural sunkissed glow I have been after. It goes onto the skin so smoothly as if melting and it doesn't feel heavy or cakey at all. I have been more than impressed with its staying power- whether that be it being set by my Rimmel Stay Matte powder I am unsure- but regardless, it has remained patch-free and flawless despite a stressful 9 hour day at work and it's still in place.
It comes in one shade- universal which I think will work well for a majority of light to medium skin tones and it is extremely buildable. It also has a chocolatey scent with a huge similarity to their Delice de Poudre bronzing powder, which I personally dont find overwhelming. I'm so pleased with this I even went back to buy the Bronzing Primer today but it was out of stock *cry* but I look forward to getting my hands on that.
